Principal/Founder

Eric brings over thirty years of experience in the real estate and economic development fields, with senior roles in the public, non-profit, and private sectors. An expert in New York City development, he has worked across market segments—from industrial to residential—and is experienced in every stage of the development process, from financing through design and construction.

Eric is best known for his transformative tenure as President and CEO of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation, where he led the industrial market renaissance in NYC, creating a widely replicated model for urban industrial redevelopment. He later served as President of the Alliance for Downtown New York, the largest Business Improvement District in the country. His earlier public-sector career included nearly eight years at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, culminating as Executive Director of the NYC Industrial Development Agency.

As Co-Founder of DL Development Partners LLC, Eric has spearheaded mixed-use and adaptive reuse projects across New York City, including repositioning industrial assets into modern commercial hubs. In 2024, he was named Chair of the York College Foundation Board of Directors, where he leads efforts to expand the foundation’s endowment, deepen community engagement, and strengthen York College’s role as a cornerstone institution in Southeast Queens.

Brian began his career in the real estate industry more than seventeen years ago as an investment and commercial sales broker with Besen & Associates in Manhattan, completing over $100 million in commercial transactions.

After his brokerage career, he joined American Development Group (ADG) as Head of Investments and Acquisitions, spending over a decade leading projects that totaled nearly $500 million in condominium sales. Brian guided ADG through the 2007 financial crisis, positioning the company for growth through opportunistic acquisitions and building strong industry relationships.

While at ADG, Brian played a central role in landmark transactions such as the 2013 sale of a prime Chelsea development site at 215–219 West 28th Street—later acquired by HAP Investments for $51 million—one of the year’s most notable residential site trades.

As Principal at DL Development, Brian has continued to focus on transformative projects, including the acquisition and redevelopment of The Breeze at 314 Scholes Street in East Williamsburg. Purchased with Argos Development for $19.3 million, the 100,000 sq ft adaptive reuse project is being transformed into a creative and entrepreneurial hub with boutique office space, rooftop amenities, and community-focused features.
